Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada since 1980, Jean Becq specializes
in Corporate, Advertising, Editorial and Travel photography worldwide
for an extensive range of international clients.
A Frenchman ( with an Irish mother) born in India and educated in Madagascar
London and Paris, Jean chose, in 1972, to study photography in Canada
after having spent two years hitchhiking around the world.
In 1976, after a short period working in Ottawa, Jean moved to Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia and spent four years freelancing throughout South East
Asia working for clients in Europe and North America.
His love and expertise in navigating foreign culture, in finding unique
subject matter and getting to places not easilynegotiated has put Jean
in a league of his own when it comes to international photo assignments.
It’s little wonder that since settling in Calgary Jean has continued
to satisfy his wanderlust for world travel while promoting his substantial
talents and impressive portfolio. |
